Assistant Superintendent
About the Assistant Superintendent
Amy Flannery, Ed. D.
My teaching career began in 1997 in the School District of Philadelphia as a music teacher. I have played the violin since I was in Kindergarten, and teaching brought together my love of learning and music. I continued teaching music to students of all ages when I moved to the Boyertown School District where I worked for thirteen years.
In 2010, I was excited to be named principal of Mt. Penn Elementary Center in the Antietam School District before accepting a principalship at Whitfield Elementary in the Wilson School District in 2013. I remained in Wilson as the Director of Curriculum until joining the Manheim Central School District leadership team in July of 2019. I am looking forward to working with this wonderful team as I serve the Manheim Central community as Assistant Superintendent.
Outside of school I enjoy running and cooking and still perform my violin actively in Symphonies, Touring Concerts and special events. My hobbies include running, cooking and reading. Even folks in Reading, PA (where I live with my husband and cats) talk about how great it is to be a Baron. I am truly honored and excited for what is yet to come.
