Volunteering at MCSD

Manheim Central School District values unique contributions made by parents and community volunteers to the educational programs of the school district. In an effort to ensure the safety of our students, the district has established a volunteer policy that requires certain documentation for all its volunteers. Please see the matrix for an explanation of the types of volunteers and the required forms/clearances each type needs to complete.

Click each link to apply for clearances. PA Criminal Background and Child Abuse are free of charge to volunteers.

  • Affidavit
  • Act 24
  • Child Abuse Clearance
  • PA Criminal History Check
  • FBI Fingerprinting -IDEMIA, the Commonwealth's fingerprinting vendor, requires applicants to pre-register for fingerprinting prior to visiting an IdentoGo center one of two ways:
    • Online:  Visit
    • Telephone:  Call 1-844-321-2101 and listen to the options menu.
    • Applicants must provide a service code when pre-registering for fingerprinting. The Volunteer Service Code is 1KG6ZJ. IDEMIA uses service codes to ensure applicants are processed for the correct purpose. If you have trouble with the code, please contact the Dept. of Human Resources at 1-877-371-5422.

When clearances are complete, volunteers will receive an email with the results. Volunteers must print the certificates/results and provide them to the School District- payment receipts are not acceptable. Note to Volunteers: there is only one time to access link and print clearances. Please keep a copy for your records.

*Please note that we are in the process of updating our policies and procedures for volunteers and submitting clearances. If you have any questions, please contact Danielle Geissinger at
