Curriculum, Instruction, and Assessment
When curriculum, instruction and assessment are seamless, quality programs for students result. The Manheim Central School District’s mission is to “Ignite Passion and Purpose to Empower Difference Makers.” Ensuring that students have access to a quality academic program that has vertical articulation from Pre-K to grade 12 is essential to help make the district’s mission a reality. A quality education encompasses standards of excellence in every curricular area, which provides all students with the opportunity to reach their individual potential. The development of new knowledge and societal demands necessitates that curriculum development be a continuous and ongoing process. It is the aim of the Manheim Central School District to have a viable and rigorous curriculum that promotes communication, critical thinking, collaboration, and creativity and to prepare students to function as fully contributing members of a democratic society and a competitive global economy.
