My name is Jennifer Fittery, and I am the PTO president.

    I would personally like to welcome you back to school. As a PTO we are always working to support the students and staff here at Burgard. We cannot do this without the help of all the parents at Burgard.

    In order for you to volunteer in any capacity at school events or in the classroom, you must complete a background check prior to volunteering. You can access this information at the district website, immediately.

    We will be fundraising throughout the school year. These fundraising events include: selling Kid Stuff Books in the fall, a Color Run in the spring and Boxtops for Education & Campbell labels all year. Start saving your Boxtops and Campbell labels now!  We also participate in Giant and Target Rewards.

    Our annual budget is based on the previous year's fundraising and is about 15K. Our budget is used to assist the school in many ways. We help pay for assemblies, field trip transportation, family events, teacher appreciation, and mini-grants. Mini-grants are awarded to faculty to help enhance their classrooms.

    Not all activities are fundraisers but pass along opportunities to the students and families at Burgard. One event is the Scholastic Book Fair.  Our sales go toward buying a book for each student and for additional books for the classrooms.  Another event is the Holiday Shoppe. It is available for students to buy high quality holiday gifts at low prices. All gifts are under $10. We also offer discount Hersheypark tickets in the spring.

    Please consider helping with our parent teacher organization. We meet the first Monday of every month in the library at 6:30pm. Please join us as your schedule allows.
