I am honored to enter my fifth year as the Principal of Manheim Central Middle School.  What an amazing learning community!  The Manheim Central community is one that is unique and special which I am proud to be a part of.

I am entering my seventeenth year in education.  I have had the pleasure of being a part of Baron Nation for the past five years, first at Doe Run Elementary as the Assistant Principal during the 2017-2018 school year and the last four years at Manheim Central Middle School.  Prior to my journey in the Manheim Central School District, I worked for the School District of Lancaster at Price Elementary as a teacher, instructional coach, and assistant principal.  I earned my bachelor’s degree for Elementary Education at The Pennsylvania State University, my master’s degree for my Reading Specialist certification at Millersville University, and most recently my doctorate degree for Educational Leadership at Immaculata University.  I currently reside in Lititz with my husband, our son Maxwell, and our cat and two dogs, Chandler, Ross, and Joey.  Through my educational and professional experiences, I have learned that collaboration is essential in building positive relationships.  Therefore, I believe that it is extremely important for a positive relationship to be established between the learners and their administrators, and I will work hard to make sure that happens.  I hold myself accountable for being visible in the hallways, cafeteria, classrooms, at extra and co-curricular events, and within the community.

I look forward to continuing to learn and grow alongside the dedicated Middle School staff and community as we work to offer a learning experience where learners feel excited and empowered while truly being challenged.  At MCMS, our mission is, “Educating and empowering learners to be lifelong difference makers.”  Our goal is to create a community of difference makers through being innovative, reflective learners, critical thinkers, responsible citizens, and establishing a collaborative community.

I believe that safety is a top priority at Manheim Central Middle School.  Learners and learning facilitators should feel both physically and social-emotionally safe and feel comfortable taking risks in their learning environment.  We are dedicated to assuring that procedures are in place within the school to support learners and staff.  In order to build a strong community at Manheim Central Middle School, we will have a strong focus on what it means to be responsible, respectful and safe and what that looks like in all the environments of our school.  In addition to building a strong community, we will explore what it means to learn in the “Ideal Learning Environment.”  Learners will experience high levels of academic achievement with appropriate levels of support so that maximum growth can be achieved across all areas of their school day.  Additionally, we want to create life-long learners who will engage in 21st Century Learning skills where they collaborate and communicate with one another, have an outlet for creativity, as well as use critical thinking to solve problems.  Finally, education is not accomplished in isolation and the community of Manheim is a true support for the school; therefore, it is essential to maintain and develop strong community partnerships to build robust academic experiences for our learners.

At Manheim Central Middle School, we are committed to ensuring that your learner receives the best academic and social experiences.  I look forward to working with you and your learner to ensure a positive experience full of life-long memories at Manheim Central Middle School.  I pride myself on being accessible; therefore, please do not hesitate to reach out or stop by my office to discuss how we can enrich your child’s educational experience, as my door is always open!  I wish your family, and especially your learner, immense success during this new 2022-2023 school year.

We are Barons… We are Difference Makers!

    Respectfully,
    Dr. Krystle L. Nemeth
